Mengyao Tang

Mengyao is an MSPH candidate in Epidemiology at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health. She is currently working with Dr. Daniel Belsky on projects to quantify the biological aging process and identify related risk factors and adverse health outcomes.Her work also focuses on conducting Mendelian Randomization analyses using GWAS data to explore causal relationships between biological aging and cognitive health.
Mengyao earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Jilin University, China, with a double major in Computer Science. Her diverse academic background reflects her deep interest in applying quantitative methods to address pressing public health challenges, particularly in aging, health disparities, and disease prevention.
