Alex Furuya

Alex is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. He is interested in understanding determinants of health disparities among marginalized populations. His research aims at identifying key life course factors that affect healthy aging.

Alex worked with Dr. Belsky in the Framingham Heart Study research to create a pace of aging measure and to identify potentially at-risk patients.
